In recent years, hollow fiber membrane degassing modules have become an ideal option for CO₂ removal when compared to harmful, costly chemicals and bulky deaerating towers.

SEPAREL® modules, based on proprietary technology from the DIC Corporation, are optimized for the removal of CO₂ in raw water, well water, or surface water. In each of these applications, CO₂ is present as a dissolved ion in the form of alkalinity (HC03) as well as free CO₂ which is dependent on the pH level of the water.
