Registration Opens For ISA's 60th Analysis Division Symposium

Discover the latest developments and innovations in the analytical sciences

The International Society of Automation (ISA) recently announces the opening of registration for its 2015 Analysis Division Symposium, which will explore the latest advances in analytical processes, techniques, and applications 26-30 April 2015 in Galveston, Texas, USA.

In addition to the extensive technical program—which will introduce up to 35 peer-reviewed technical papers edited by leading experts—the event, now in its 60th year, includes training on process analytic fundamentals as well as on advanced subjects; vendor-led training; a Technology Forum and Exhibition; the ISA Analysis Division banquet; and a variety of social activities.

Get up to date on emerging trends and solutions
Given that superb technical content is the focal point of the symposium, attendees will be treated to a slate of outstanding speakers and presentations. Key topics and innovations in sampling, chromatography, spectroscopy, chemiluminescence and other analytical techniques and instrumentation will be discussed and explored in detail.

All papers to be presented will have been reviewed by a panel of widely recognized subject-matter experts representing more than 120 years of experience. Papers will be formatted and published in the symposium proceedings, which are provided to all attendees as part of the registration. The non-commercial requirements for the papers ensure presentations of high integrity and quality.

Take advantage of excellent training opportunities—fundamentals to advanced
On Sunday, 26 April, the day before the technical program commences, a course on process analytic fundamentals will be conducted, providing attendees with excellent, foundational knowledge across a wide range of areas, including: gas chromatography, spectroscopy, discrete gas analysis, system design, sample conditioning systems, communications networking and more.

On the same day, two advanced courses also will be offered: (1.) Increasing Sample System Reliability by Better Design and (2.) Analytical Quality Assurance Fundamentals for Laboratory Test Methods and Process Analyzers.

And after the technical program concludes, on Thursday 30 April, representatives from leading vendors and suppliers will provide valuable hands-on training, specifically designed for technicians, on their newest products. Vendor training workshops will be conducted by seven companies: ABB Analytical, AMETEK Process Instruments, Servomex, Siemens, Thermo Scientific, Yokogawa, and PAC.

A scenic beachfront location on Galveston Island
You’ll be sure to enjoy the coastal beauty and comforts of the symposium’s host hotel, The Hilton Galveston Island. Located on the 32-acre San Luis Resort Spa & Conference Center, the hotel provides the ideal venue to relax on and around the beach, enjoy excellent local restaurants and explore local attractions.

About ISA
The International Society of Automation (www.isa.org) is a nonprofit professional association that sets the standard for those who apply engineering and technology to improve the management, safety, and cybersecurity of modern automation and control systems used across industry and critical infrastructure. Founded in 1945, ISA develops widely used global standards; certifies industry professionals; provides education and training; publishes books and technical articles; hosts conferences and exhibits; and provides networking and career development programs for its 36,000 members and 350,000 customers around the world.

ISA owns Automation.com, a leading online publisher of automation-related content, and is the founding sponsor of The Automation Federation (www.automationfederation.org), an association of non-profit organizations serving as “The Voice of Automation.” Through a wholly owned subsidiary, ISA bridges the gap between standards and their implementation with the ISA Security Compliance Institute (www.isasecure.org) and the ISA Wireless Compliance Institute (www.isa100wci.org).
