The Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the International Water Association (IWA) announce open registration for the WEF/IWA Nutrient Removal and Recovery 2016 conference. Held in cooperation with the Rocky Mountain Water Environment Association and the Water Environment & Reuse Foundation (WE&RF), the conference will be held July 10-13 at the Hyatt Regency Denver – Convention Center in Denver, Colo.

The conference will bring together water professionals from around the world to network, learn, and share best practices in sustainable nutrient management. Attendees will find a valuable return on investment from the exhibition and diverse technical program that includes an opening session, workshops, social activities, and technical sessions on a range of timely topics: carbon redirection and nutrient removal; biological phosphorus removal; sidestream deammonification; nitrous oxide and greenhouse gas emissions; nitrogen removal processes; resource recovery; innovative regulatory approaches; and more.

Attendees are also invited to participate in the WE&RF Nutrient Removal Challenge: A Summary of Key Findings from Six Years of Research, which will be followed by a poster session and networking reception. To cap off the conference experience, attendees may also register for a special tour of the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District and the South Adams County Water & Sewer District facilities, where they will learn about two different, yet equally successful, real-world approaches to nutrient removal and recovery.
