As an alternative to fresh water, produced water — the water brought up with oil and gas during extraction — represents a more practical, environmentally responsible source of boiler-feed. Extraction of heavy oil typically involves vast amounts of water for the production of steam for injection into formations (steam flooding, cyclic steam, SAGD). Eco-Tec’s systems represent a safer, smaller, more efficient way of treating produced water to reduce scaling and corrosion, while eliminating conventional problems such as high chemical (salt, acid, caustic) consumption and poor oil and solids filtration quality. 

Installed around the world, Eco-Tec’s Produced Water Treatment systems come with start-up supervision, customer training, full factory pre-testing, and access to the ECO-SERV program that includes performance monitoring and 24 hour telephone service.

Benefits behind our Filters:

  • Removes virtually all particles >2 micron, significantly reduces <2 micron particles.
  • Filtrate comparable to a 1 micron cartridge filter, far better than the 5-10 micron rated filters often used in such service; cartridge filters can be eliminated saving costs, labor, materials, etc.
  • Elimination of fouling downstream ion exchange by suspended solids; reduction of oil fouling ion exchange resins.
