Rebuilding A Wastewater Treatment Facility Through Guaranteed Savings

Honeywell played a key role in helping the Town of Lyons, CO, rebound from the catastrophic flood in 2013 with a plan to repair and enhance the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). The floods damaged Lyons’ WWTP influent pumping systems, final disinfection systems, and piping system, which left the water utility inoperable.

The existing wastewater treatment plant equipment was outdated, inefficient, and costly to operate and maintain. The combination of rising energy costs, lack of redundancy, and inefficient systems put additional strain on Lyons’ operating budget.
