Primozone Part Of Project For Optimization Of Biogas Production With Ozone Pre-Treatment
The aim of the Nomigas project is to optimize the bio-gas production from waste water treatment plants, by using different pretreatment methods. Ozone pretreatment is one of the methods analyzed.
By better understanding the biological processes and the interaction between the involved microorganisms behind the production of bio-gas the project aims to ensure stable digesting and high bio-gas yield from low-grade substrates.
The project is led by Professor Per Halkjær Nielsen at Aalborg University. But the project is a cooperation between several different bodies. The participants are, besides Aalborg University, Lund University, several Danish research projects and several major vendors of biogas plants. A group of international scientists is also involved in support of the project.
In cooperation with Lund University, Primozone will test the use of ozone as a pretreatment method. Laboratory and pilot-scale studies will be performed for evaluation of the improvement of methane production with ozone from waste water sludge.
Primozone is the leading supplier of patented innovative ozone generators that generate far more ozone and use far less energy than the alternatives on the market. The products are highly efficient, energy efficient, reliable, easy to install and maintain, light and with a small footprint, quiet, and with a built-in flexible monitoring and control system, giving the customers more efficient and reliable water treatment, reduced operating costs and the lowest life cycle cost on the market by far.
The company’s product range consists of a series of ozone generator models, varying in size and capacity from 100 to 25000 g ozone per hour. Primozone offers complete systems for ozone treatment of water with ozone generators as well as ozone application know-how, system design, oxygen generators, compressors, mixing and tank systems, and control and monitoring systems.
Primozone’s customers are industries with wastewater treatment needs, municipal wastewater and drinking water treatment facilities as well as fish farms (aquaculture) using recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). Primozone was founded in 2000 and has its head office, research and development, and in-house production in southern Sweden.
Primozone is redefining the ozone market with its cutting edge technology ozone generators for water treatment. The high performance ozone generators from Primozone are ideal for demanding municipal and industrial applications as they produce ozone. For more information, visit www.primozone.com.
