Primozone Elected To Join The American Water Works Association's Ozone Committee

The Swedish ozone generator manufacturer Primozone has been elected to join the American Water Works Association’s ozone standards committee.

The American Water Works Association is the largest non-profit association in America dedicated to water treatment. With approximately 50,000 members, AWWA provides solutions to improve public health, protect the environment, strengthen the economy and enhance our quality of life.

The Oxygen for Ozone Generation committee’s aim is, among other things, to “develop standards for ozone treatment for water, including B304 - Standard for Liquid Oxygen for Ozone Generation for Water, Wastewater, and Reclaimed Water Systems”.

“It is an honor for Primozone to be a part of this committee”, says Anders Schening, CEO at Primozone. “This confirms that Primozone now is an established player on the American water treatment market and that our technology is very interesting for the future of the ozone industry – we are redefining ozone technology for real”.

The Oxygen for Ozone Generation committee consists of representatives from a number of well-established players on the ozone market like Mitsubishi Electric Power, Black & Veatch, Ozonia, Wedeco and Praxair.

The core of the Primozone technology is the ability to produce ozone with a very high concentration, the highest available on the market. The high ozone concentration results in greatly improved efficiency in dissolving the ozone gas in the water, and a sharply reduced oxygen and energy consumption. A Primozone ozone generator uses up to 70 percent less energy that other ozone generators.
