A Power Plant in Palo Seco, Puerto Rico has realized the millions in annuals savings since the 2010 MIOX installation.

Power production was boosted by 7% in the first year due to biofilm and scaling removal, equaling $3.4M in added capacity. A 57% reduction in operation and maintenance costs saved the power plant $1.4M. Water consumption was reduced by 56% saving the facility 40 million gallons of water per year. Other outcomes include reduction in chemical delivery and energy consumption, and cost savings over delivered bulk hypochlorite.
