Ozone for Disinfection

Mazzei® Injector Company, LLC, a leader in mixing technologies, provided the turn-key skid mounted pilot system for an ozonation treatment plant designed to reduce pharmaceuticals and agricultural pesticides known as Endocrine Disrupting Compounds (EDC) in wastewater. The designed system prevents low concentrations of EDC from making it through conventional wastewater treatment processes and being discharged into a river and winding up in a source for drinking water downstream.

The Mazzei® turn-key system includes oxygen and ozone generators, a gas-liquid mass transfer system, instrumentation, communication and controls. Ozone is produced on-site and added to oxidize the contaminants in the wastewater effluent.
