NGWA President-Elect Daniel T. Meyer Named Contractor Of The Year By California Groundwater Association

National Ground Water Association President-elect Daniel T. Meyer, MGWC, CVCLD, has been named Contractor of the Year by the California Groundwater Association.

The award, presented at the 64th annual CGA Awards Banquet on October 19, recognizes Meyer’s service to the groundwater industry in California and at the national level, said CGA Executive Director Mike Mortensson.

Meyer, chief financial officer for Gregg Drilling & Testing Inc., Signal Hill, California, was formerly a certified public accountant before moving into full-time geotechnical work in his own company and later with Gregg Drilling & Testing.

He is vice chair of CGA’s Education Committee and has been active with CGA’s Budget Committee.

Meyer will become the NGWA president on December 6 at the 2012 NGWA Groundwater Expo and Annual Meeting in Las Vegas. He also serves on NGWA’s Investment Subcommittee and the National Ground Water Research and Educational Foundation Board.
