MilliporeSigma Advances Water Purification Systems With New High-Throughput Line

  • Elix High-Throughput water purification system delivers up to 9000 liters of pure water daily with real-time monitoring
  • Purification technologies ensure constant water quality with low and predictable running costs

MilliporeSigma recently introduced the Elix High-Throughput water purificatfion system, providing laboratories with a reliable water purification solution for daily water volumes of up to 9000 liters. Designed to operate at the heart of a central water purification solution, the Elix High-Throughput system offers full connectivity, providing authorized users real-time remote monitoring via computer, tablet or smartphone with access to all important water quality data.

"MilliporeSigma is committed to improving laboratory workflows with innovative products like our Elix line of water purification systems that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and require little maintenance," said Theresa S. Creasey, Head of Strategy, Marketing and Innovation at MilliporeSigma. "Our systems are also designed to decrease energy and water consumption, without sacrificing water quality or ease of use.”

The Elix High-Throughput system incorporates technologies consistent in delivering optimum quality, analytical-grade water for use in regular laboratory applications and instrument feeds. The system combines MilliporeSigma’s Elix electrodeionization technology with advanced purification, including Progard pretreatment cartridges, reverse osmosis and bactericidal UV lamp treatment. The new models include MilliporeSigma’s E.R.A. (Evolutive Reject Adjustment) technology, which automatically optimizes water recovery and reduces water usage costs by taking feed water quality into account. The system can also be linked to a Laboratory Information Management System or Building Management System for enhanced efficiency and productivity.

The Elix High-Throughput system’s easy-to-use communications interface displays all of the details needed for daily operation. A large color touch screen features storage level and dispensing information, water production and the status of system consumables, including step-by-step instructions from a system wizard for effortless replacement.
