Two of the most firmly established names in the water and wastewater industry have joined forces for the UK municipal sector.

Mixers and pumps made by Landia UK, including the world-renowned Landia chopper pump will be sold via the fast expanding Ham Baker Group, which has grown in recent years to become a £30M-plus one-stop-shop for flow control equipment.

“Very much in keeping with our belief in engineered, long-lasting solutions, Landia’s equipment is second to none for its reliability and longevity”, said Ham Baker Group Business Development Director, Ian Goddard.

“Then there’s the company behind the equipment, established in 1933, which no surprise, takes huge pride not just in its products, but the back-up its gives to its customers”.

Landia’s pumps, mixers and aerators are already in successful operation at almost all UK municipal regions, including Severn Trent Water, Thames Water – and Yorkshire Water, with whom it has 180 flowmakers installed as part of a framework agreement.

Hugh Vaughan, Director of Landia UK & Eire, added: “Ham Baker’s resurgence in recent years hasn’t gone unnoticed. Together we are a good fit for the UK municipal market, where we can combine to provide contractors and water companies with double the expertise for pumping and mixing applications”.

In addition to pumps, Ham Baker Group’s comprehensive flow-control offering also now includes PaT (Pump as Turbine) hydro equipment, control systems, leakage control and flood defence products, as well as its traditional expertise in screens, valves and penstocks.
