Kruger Wins ACTIFLO® Contract In Hillsboro, OR

Request Information

I. Kruger Inc., a Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies company, was awarded a contract for the Rock Creek Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility.  Kruger will furnish a 2 x 15 MGD ACTIFLO® system to provide high rate clarification for tertiary treatment at the Rock Creek AWTF. Clean Water Services (CWS) is the Owner and Carollo Engineers is the consulting engineer.

The ACTIFLO® system will be utilized for dry weather tertiary treatment for solids and phosphorous removal at 30 MGD design flow during summer months (permit April – October).  It will also treat wet weather peak flows up to 44 MGD during winter wet weather months. If the reduction in TSS is greater than what is required by the solids loading discharge limit, the Rock Creek AWTF will be able to delay and possibly even eliminate the need to add new filters.

The ACTIFLO® System shall provide the following performance for the Rock Creek AWTF at design flow:

Total Phosphorus (Total P):  Effluent of <0.07 mg/L
Total Suspended Solids (TSS): Effluent of <7 mg/L

The new process is expected to be operational by Fall 2013.
