HYBACS Brings Innovation To Bahrain Wastewater Treatment

City of Manama in Bahrain was looking for an innovative technology to expand it’s WWTP to treat a flow of 26.4 MGD.

After evaluating different technologies the city selected the HYBACS system due to the low capital cost and lowest whole life cost with minimal civil construction required and all existing structures retained. HYBACS plant fits comfortably within the existing site. Minimal modifications to existing aeration tanks. Phase 1 include two of the ten existing aeration lanes and upgrade to four of the twelve existing clarifiers.
