Howard Neukrug And Emily Feenstra Join The Staff Of The US Water Alliance

The US Water Alliance, a national organization advancing a sustainable water future for all, recently announced two new staff members, Howard Neukrug and Emily Feenstra. Howard and Emily will bring decades of professional experience to the Alliance, further expanding the organization's expertise and reach.

Howard Neukrug has joined the Alliance as a Senior Fellow. In this capacity he provides strategic guidance on key Alliance initiatives, serves as an official spokesperson for the organization, and leads the development of publications and initiatives to advance a sustainable water future for all. Importantly, Howard was also one of the visionary water sector leaders who conceived of and created the US Water Alliance, and until recently, served on the Board of the organization.

Howard served as the CEO of Philadelphia Water's $1 billion water services utility and is the creator of Philadelphia's Green Cities, Clean Waters Program. An advisor to the EPA and other environmental agencies on issues of policy and regulation, water quality and treatment, and urban planning and sustainability, Howard is a locally- and nationally-recognized leader in the drinking water, green infrastructure, stormwater and wastewater utility industries. Howard also teaches at the University of Pennsylvania and will remain based in Philadelphia.

Emily Feenstra has joined the Alliance as its Deputy Director. In this capacity see oversees a diverse portfolio of projects and manages strategic partnerships with Alliance members and supporters to advance one water management in America.

Prior to joining the Alliance, Emily was the Director of Infrastructure Initiatives and Public Affairs at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). In that role she led policy and advocacy initiatives for ASCE, including its nationally recognized Report Card for America's Infrastructure, the Failure to Act economic study series, and other reports designed to influence infrastructure policy. Emily will be based in the Alliance's Washington, D.C. office.
