Green Infrastructure Best Management Practices Data Sought

The Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) has recently funded an expansion of the International Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP) Database to continue developing the Green Infrastructure practice data set. This effort is part of a larger WERF initiative to expand consideration of innovative green infrastructure approaches to stormwater management. The research team is accepting BMP performance studies for its 2016 upload through March 15, 2016. Green Infrastructure includes a variety of practices that help to reduce the impacts of wet weather flows. These practices typically incorporate natural and engineered features to reduce runoff rates and volumes, as well as pollutant concentrations.

In addition to green infrastructure data, monitoring data for fecal indicator bacteria are also sought. To find out more about this process, visit the project website to download the data entry spreadsheet package (http://www.bmpdatabase.org/data-entry.html) or contact Jane Clary (clary@wrightwater.com) with questions.
