Mayor Giuliani to Help Raise Awareness of Water and Sewer Infrastructure Issues and Solutions

The country’s water and sewer infrastructure is an urgent problem for both homeowners and municipalities. The American Society of Civil Engineers gives our nation’s water and sewer infrastructure a grade of D- and reports that leaking pipes lose an estimated seven billion gallons of clean drinking water a day.^[1] In addition, an estimated one million homeowners will suffer a water service line emergency and four million homeowners will have a sewer line disruption this year.^[2] A break or back up can create an environmental and financial crisis for the homeowner.
