Floating effluent decanters by Mass Transfer Systems remove the supernatant liquid from the near surface. They have a life cycle of 20 years and require very little maintenance.
Designed for both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, floating effluent decanters by Mass Transfer Systems (MTS) remove the supernatant liquid from near the surface of sequencing batch reactors (SBRs) and aerobic digesters. The MTS decanter system has a stainless steel or fiberglass-reinforced plastic decant arm, a cast iron swing joint, and stainless steel supports and hardware, making it much sturdier and require very little maintenance than decanters that use flexible hose arms and knee braces. As one of the few decanter suppliers for wastewater treatment, MTS decanters have a typical lifespan of 20 years and require very little maintenance. The MTS design also allows the decant arm to stay close to the liquid surface through the high and low decant liquid level range. Decant rates are typically up to 1,200 GPM.
