Environmental Dynamics International (EDI) has recently won the Water and Energy Exchange (WEX) Innovation Award for Operations for its high-efficiency StreamLine Panel Diffuser with Matrix Membrane Technology.

The Innovation Award for Operations was judged by a panel of esteemed international experts in the water and wastewater industry and was presented to EDI at the WEX Global Conference Gala Dinner. John McConomy, EDI’s global sales director, accepted the award.

“To receive the Operations Award at the esteemed WEX Global Conference from an illustrious panel of industry experts caps off a year in which EDI, our StreamLine panel and the Matrix Plus Membrane has gone from strength to strength.”

The StreamLine panel diffuser is designed to ensure grit settlement does not affect oxygen transfer over time and the Matrix Plus membrane is designed to provide maximum consistent aeration efficiency.  The Matrix technology membrane is one of the most advanced fine bubble diffused aeration membranes on the market today, with its co-extruded blend of PTFE and high temperature urethanes. It offers the advantage of greater efficiency over the life of the membrane due to its innovative material design and manufacturing process. It is less prone to fouling in wastewater, withstands wear and tear over its operational life and thus offers a more consistent oxygen transfer over time.

For their StreamLine and Matrix technology diffuser systems, EDI was also shortlisted for the overall Global Innovations Award sponsored by Aqualia.
