DVO To Discuss Phosphorus And Nitrogen Recovery At Wisconsin Farm Technology Days August 25 – 27, 2015

DVO, Inc., a leader in the environmental engineering industry and North America’s largest provider of anaerobic digesters, will be at Wisconsin Farm Technology Days (August 25-27, 2015) to share its patented digester technology and advanced phosphorus and nitrogen recovery systems with farmers at booth 472.

Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is the largest agriculture show in Wisconsin, and one of the largest in the country. Each year it is held in a different Wisconsin county, on a different host family farm. This year’s host, Statz Brothers Farm, uses DVO anaerobic digesters on both of its two farms to manage organic wastes and generate renewable energy.

The farms use DVO’s patented Two-Stage Mixed Plug Flow digesters to convert waste from more than 4,000 cows into natural gas. One of the two farms also uses DVO’s nitrogen recovery system. The digesters produce approximately two to three times more electricity than the farms use. The energy produced powers one of the farms, while the other sells the renewable electricity back to its local utility company, Alliant Energy.

About DVO
Since 2001, DVO Inc. has been solving manure and food waste management challenges, transforming organic waste streams into power and other useful byproducts at the highest levels of efficiency and reliability in the anaerobic digester industry. DVO’s latest innovation, an automated advanced Phosphorus Recovery system, provides for a more efficient and cost-effective nutrient management plan for municipalities, farmers and agribusinesses.

Treating wastes using DVO’s patented Two-Stage Mixed Plug Flow anaerobic digester and proven advanced Phosphorus Recovery (PR) system removes 75-95% of phosphorus from anaerobically-digested waste.

DVO's Nitrogen Recovery technology economically captures up to 75% of the nitrogen ammonia that is otherwise lost, and places it in the form of a stable commercial fertilizer.

DVO is the undisputed U.S. market leader in anaerobic digestion. Nearly 100 of the company’s patented Two-Stage Mixed Plug Flow anaerobic digester systems are installed in 18 states, with total electrical generation capacity of more than 75 megawatts. DVO digesters are also operating internationally. For more information, visit www.dvoinc.com.
