Dry-Pit Submersible Pumps Replace Oversized Long-Shaft Pumps

BalticAvenue

After anticipated growth of the New Jersey casino industry fell short, Atlantic City Sewerage Company’s Baltic Avenue Pump Station was left with grossly-oversized long-shaft sewage pumps that operated inefficiently and were prone to cavitation. Operations staff replaced the outdated equipment with more efficient dry-pit submersible pumps. As a result, the station is now back in operational balance with current flows and features a quieter environment with less overall energy use.
