Cruise Line to Install Gray Water Membrane Systems
Gray water, almost 90% of it coming from the sinks and showers of a ship's staterooms, can be legally discharged in most places. By utilizing the new system, the gray water that is released will be cleaner when discharged.
Installations of the two gray water systems are expected to be completed in January and March 2000. The membrane separation system rejects bacteria, suspended solids and organic matter, thus making the equipment suited for gray water treatment. Its modular configuration is designed for higher reliability and filtration performance.
