Concrete Manufacturing Operation Meets Permit Requirements With PH Control System

In order to meet its discharge permit limits, a ready-mix concrete manufacturing operation needed to neutralize its high pH process water. Staff installed a control system that automatically detects a rise in pH and treats the water with a modular in-line carbon dioxide feed system. The operation can now recycle treated water for rinsing trucks, supply recycled water into the concrete batching operation, and safely discharge the water into the environment.
