Celebration
In addition to participating in technical presentation on a variety of tracks, we are pleased to host a wine and cheese reception Wed., 19 Sept., 17:00-18:00, congratulating Dr. Glen Daigger on his second term as President of IWA. A globally recognized expert in wastewater treatment, Dr. Daigger is a CH2M HILL Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer.

Awards
CH2M HILL is again sponsoring the Sustainability Prize, which recognize contributions that demonstrate significant progress toward the sustainable management of water resources in an urban environment.  The award ceremony showcases the work of the winner and two runner-ups in each category: “excellence in support of sustainable urban water management” (theory) and “innovation in the practical realization of sustainable urban water management” (application). CH2M HILL is proud to sponsor the prize in acknowledgement of the recipients’ hard work and dedication to sustainable solutions. The awards will be presented Tues., 18 Sept., 17:00-18:00, IWA Hub booth #100.

This year CH2M HILL and Halcrow, a CH2M HILL Company, will also be receiving two IWA Regional Project Innovation Awards (PIA), which honor innovation and excellence in global water engineering projects and will be presented at a dinner ceremony on Tues. evening. In the Asia Pacific Regional Award Competition, our work with Singapore to implement the Active, Beautiful, and Clean Waters (ABC Waters) Program at a local Singapore watershed was named the winner in the design category. In the Europe and West Asia Regional Award Competition, the Feasibility Studies for Irrigation Development in Ethiopia earned an honor award in the applied research category.
