AWWA Launches Redesigned Career Center

Redesign improves experience for job seekers, employers

The American Water Works Association recently announced the launch of its redesigned Career Center. The updated site will better connect job seekers and employers in the water industry.

The Career Center’s new features include email alerts of relevant opportunities for job seekers, the ability to post resumes anonymously, and free resume evaluation. Resumes can still be posted to the site for free, and job seekers can also set up customized job searches and receive information on how to update their career skills.

Employers will still be able to post jobs and source qualified candidates, while also having the opportunity to upgrade their job posts to keep them at the top of search listings. A new feature enables job posters to set up pre-screening questions to ensure qualified candidates are applying.

As a part of the redesign, AWWA has partnered with software vendor YourMembership. As an association management software company, YourMembership will continuously update the Career Center’s features and will now handle all inquiries from job seekers and posters.

“Our Career Center continues to be AWWA’s most visited webpage, so the opportunities to successfully connect job seekers and employers are ample,” said JoAnn Spinnato, AWWA director of sales. “We are interested in growing the water industry as many workers are retiring and young professionals are entering the workforce. With the Career Center’s redesign, we will step up to meet that growth.”
