The FCL free chlorine system is intended for the determination of free chlorine in fresh water. The FCL does not use an expensive sample conditioning system or messy reagents to control pH. Instead, the analyzer automatically compensates for changes in the pH of the sample using a membrane-covered amperometric sensor. The FCL is available in two options: FCL-01 with manual pH correction; and FCL-02 with continuous pH correction. In both options, maintenance is fast and easy. Replacing a membrane requires no special tools or fixtures. A screw cap holds the pre-tensioned membrane in place. And replacing the electrolyte solution takes only minutes.

The EPA revised its turbidity regulations, which required the city of Akron, OH to reduce its 95 percent compliance level for turbidity from 0.3 to 0.15 nephelometric turbidity units (NTU), a reduction of its combined turbidity of 50%.
