Bob Wimmer, President and CEO of Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc., was recently inducted into the Northern Illinois Business Hall of Fame. Wimmer, who joined the company in 1998, has led the charge to expand the plant locally, as well as expand the company's customer base.
"I'm incredibly honored to be recognized by the Rockford Chamber of Commerce for my company's contribution to the region," says Wimmer. "We are devoted to developing cutting edge technology that makes Aqua-Aerobic Systems a leader locally, nationally and internationally."
The Hall of Fame was established to recognize icons and leaders of commerce and industry in the region. Its focus is on leaders who played a key role in developing the region’s economic base from the very beginning, as well as current leaders who have demonstrated industry leadership and business growth and expansion. The criteria for selection include a demonstration of business excellence, courageous thinking and acting, inspired leadership, and community involvement.
The Rockford Chamber of Commerce celebrated the new Hall of Fame members at an event earlier this month at Midway Village in Rockford, Illinois.
