Amiad Water Systems SAF And EBS Line NSF-61 Certified For Drinking Water Service
Amiad Water Systems is pleased to announce that the SAF and EBS filter lines* are now certified and listed as compliant with NSF/ANSI STANDARD 61 (Drinking Water System Components – Health Effect) and with NSF/ANSI STANDARD 61, Annex G or NSF/ANSI 372 (“lead free” requirement). The SAF and EBS join the already certified Arkal Spin-Klin line to expand Amiad’s offerings for drinking water service.
The NSF-61 Standard establishes requirements and tests products to control the types of materials that are used in equipment which contacts drinking water to minimize human health effects from contaminants which can leach into the water. In addition, the certification process includes a production facility audit and approval which ensures that the NSF-61 approved products are consistently produced as certified. The company has certified these products in order to ensure customers that they are choosing the best and safest product on the market when they select Amiad Water Systems equipment for their drinking water treatment needs. The Annex G certification ensures that with Amiad's products selected, end users can easily meet the new United States Safe Drinking Water Act “lead free” requirements which go into effect on January 4, 2014.
The Amiad NSF-61 certified products are the ideal solutions for particle removal in applications such as: prefiltration to membrane or UV in drinking water treatment systems, sand removal from well water and point of entry filtration for residential, commercial or health care buildings.
*Certification covers all size models of the SAF-1500, SAF-3000, SAF-4500, SAF-6000, EBS 10,000 and EBS 15,000 with micron ratings from 10-800 micron.
