American Water's Dr. Mark LeChevallier To Participate In Association Of State Drinking Water Administrators Conference
American Water, the nation’s largest publicly traded water and wastewater utility company, recently announcedDr. Mark LeChevallier, Director of Innovation and Environmental Stewardship, will give a presentation atthe 2013 Association of State Drinking Water Administrators (ASDWA) Conference in Long Beach, Calif. on Oct. 27-31.
LeChevallier’s presentation,titled “Managing Risks from Main Breaks and Low Pressure Events,”will highlight a risk-based approach to disinfecting pipes after main breaks that would result in reducing the number of boil water advisories and speed the return to service.
ASDWA is the professional Association supporting state drinking water programs in their efforts to protect public health and implement the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act. The ASDWA Annual Conference will gather state, federal and local water professional to tackle the many challenges facing the water community.
