Actiflo® SOFTns™ An Innovative Process For High Hardness Influent

Veolia has developed a new water softening process for high hardness influents based on the principle of ballasted flocculation and settling used in its Actiflo® technology.
Unlike Veolia’s typical Actiflo clarification and softening processes, which operate with recirculated microsand for ballasted settling, this new innovation uses water softening chemistry to produce a calcium carbonate precipitate that serves as the ballast.
