The Bexar plant was the first DBO (Design, Build, Operate) in the United States.

The source of this unit is the Medina river, the water of which is treated to produce tasteless and odorless drinking water. It supplies about 100,000 inhabitants in the south of San Antonio (Texas).

  • The water : Turbidity : 100 to 4,000 NTU - T : 10 to 28 °C
  • Treatment objectives : Elimination of turbidity and microbiological retention.
  • The system :
    • The L1B35 Ultrafiltration module has a membrane area of 55 or 64 m².
    • Its average flow rate at 20°C is 5.5 or 6.4 m3/hr.
