BIOFOR™ is a biological submerged filter containing a fixed, dense granular bed with influent wastewater flowing in an upward direction. The system employs a proprietary media that serves as a biological contactor as well as a filter, eliminating the need for separate clarification and saving space.

• A small footprint means high flow levels can be treated within a tight site.
• The system is capable of handling wide flow and temperature variations.
• BIOFOR™ starts up quickly and requires little operator attention.

Appropriate for the treatment of cold and dilute wastewaters, BIOFOR™ can also be used for carbonaceous BOD removal as a secondary treatment process or tertiary treatment for nutrient removal.
