Hungerford & Terry announces GreensandPlus is recently the choice of customers for water filtration media versus manganese greensand, the forerunner of GreensandPlus.

The advanced GreensandPlus filter media has all the properties of the original manganese greensand with added flexibility to use any of several oxidants for media regeneration. Potassium permanganate is not required unless it is advantageous to use in the application.

Users report that GreensandPlus is a cost-efficient water treatment filtration media. It has 30% less backwash waste when compared to manganese dioxide ore (MnO2) products. The GreensandPlus process efficiently and economically removes iron, manganese, arsenic, radium and hydrogen sulfide in municipal, industrial and point-of-use filtration applications. It can also be operated at high filter flux rates.
