WATERTRAK™ Supplies Containerized Boiler Feed Water System For Power Plant In South Texas
WATERTRAK™ Supplies Containerized Boiler Feed Water System For Power Plant In South Texas Text: Located in Texas, the facility is an 825MW natural gas combined-cycle production facility with 550MW currently in full operation. At full operation, the facility will continue to help meet the growing energy needs of Texas while protecting our state's natural environment by displacing less efficient natural gas steam generating facilities in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.
The facility was originally designed to use demin trailers for boiler makeup water. However, due to increasing prices of the trailers, the customer decided to install permanent equipment. The main challenge was to provide a solution that would have the least capital expense while meeting the makeup water requirements. WATERTRAK was able to provide containerized equipment which substantially reduced installation costs thereby making the project viable.
