Veolia Water And Wetsus Sign Agreement

We are proud to announce that a platform agreement between Veolia Water and Wetsus was signed during the Wetsus workshop on April 21, 2011.
Veolia Water is the largest water company in the world with operation activities in more than 70 countries. Also in the Netherlands Veolia Water operates wastewater treatment plants, including Harnaschpolder. Next to operation, Veolia is active as contractor and equipment supplier in the water sector. Dutch subsidiaries include Rossmark and Biothane, which is the expertise centre within Veolia for anaerobic wastewater treatment with a track record of more than 500 full scale plants.
Wetsus, centre of excellence for sustainable water technology is a facilitating intermediary for trend-setting know-how development. Wetsus creates an unique environment and strategic cooperation for development of profitable and sustainable state of the art water treatment technology.
Both parties agreed that the increase of knowledge concerning water technology is of major economic and social importance for The Netherlands.
The inspiring and multidisciplinary collaboration between Veolia Water and research institute Wetsus results in a nationally and internationally relevant, demand driven, pre-competitive, industrial, multidisciplinary research program in the area of water technology.
