  • New multiparameter converter for liquid analysis in the water and wastewater industry introduced by KROHNE.
  • This proven device converter concept used in flow measurement technology is now also available for analysis.
  • Measure different sensing parameters with one device.

A variety of measuring methods and sensor types are used for the different measuring tasks in the water and wastewater industry. This means that operators are faced with the increasing complexity involved in using this measuring technology. To keep it manageable, it is important to standardize the operation of these measuring devices. Some manufacturers already offer uniform operating concepts for their analytical devices. KROHNE takes it a step further and is the first measuring technology manufacturer to offer an operating concept that is standardized for both flowmeters and analytical measuring devices, or in other words, for both physical and analytical parameters. The new OPTISENS MAC 100 multiparameter converter for liquid analyses is based on the IFC 100 signal converter which has been used for years for electromagnetic flowmeters and is familiar to, tested by and accepted by users.

The OPTISENS MAC 100 multiparameter converter is suitable for the measurement of different analytical parameters such as pH/ORP and free chlorine. Regardless of which sensor is used or which parameter is being measured – the device offers standardized startup and operation for all, just as its brother, the IFC 100, offers for different electromagnetic flowmeters. The user can also opt to measure two different parameters or to connect two different sensors to one signal converter. This eliminates the need to install a second signal converter. If available, the device can also automatically control sensor cleaning.
