Montour Station in Pennsylvania is an unregulated generation company with more than 11,000 megawatts of generating capacity in 6 states. It generated 53.6 million megawatt-hours in 2007 PPL Generation and was in need of an installation of wet limestone scrubbers for SO2 abatement. Discharges to the environmental sensitive Susquehanna River had to be taken into consideration.
