Charlotte, NC — Membrana, a leading membrane and device manufacturer, is pleased to announce that it has expanded the Liqui-Cel® Business unit's website, www.liqui-cel.com.

The website has been reorganized and enhanced to incorporate a wealth of information that is organized by primary applications and industries where Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors are used. Web users can now navigate to landing pages that overview specific applications that apply to them. If people are uncertain what Liqui-Cel® applications apply to their industry, they can find information on the industry landing pages that outline how Liqui-Cel® Contactors add value to specific industries. Each landing page contains background information as well as quick links to technical content including data sheets, technical briefs and technical papers specific to the various industries and applications where degassing contactors are currently used.

The website's main navigation is divided into four sections which includes product information, application information, industry information and technical resources. All technical and product information can be accessed both in the main navigation and from links on the appropriate application and industry landing pages.

The updated website provides all of the technical and educational materials that customers need for understanding and using Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors in their particular application or industry.

Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors are used around the world for adding or removing Oxygen (O2), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Nitrogen (N2) to or from different liquids in the Semiconductor, Power, Pharmaceutical, Photographic, Food and Beverage, and many other industries. For example, it is known that O2 negatively impacts many processes; it is corrosive and can oxidize materials. In the power and industrial areas, piping and equipment are susceptible to corrosion. Specifically to the semiconductor market, high levels of O2 can cause lower wafer yields. Additionally, CO2 negatively impacts performance of EDI and Ion Exchange. The Liqui-Cel Contactors offer a modular solution for O2/CO2 removal before these processes without chemicals.

Liqui-Cel Contactors are also used to add gasses to liquids to enhance megasonic cleaning. The beverage industry looks to membrane contactors for carbonation, nitrogenation and O2 removal. These reflect only a few examples of the variety of applications where the Liqui-Cel Membrane Contactors are used. New applications are constantly being developed.

Additionally, Membrana offers liquid ring vacuum pumps, eductors and oxygen sensors to complement the membrane contactors. Membrana´s Industrial Membrane Group also manufactures a variety of membranes used for filtration in various industries and applications.
