Neptune water meters and absolute encoders form the foundation of accurate and reliable ARB® Utility Management Systems™. Since 1964 when Neptune introduced the first absolute encoder, Neptune has held firm to the philosophy that both the local visual reading and remote electronic reading should come from the same source. Neptune guarantees the data integrity of all our absolute encoders.
The ProRead encoder interrogates the actual position of the odometer wheels so you can be sure that the reading you receive matches the actual reading on the register. The ProRead is available in two different configurations for specific applications – inside set and pit set. For inside set applications the ProRead will be housed in our field-proven plastic enclosure. Like the E-Coder, for pit set applications the ProRead is housed in a roll-sealed copper can and glass lens enclosure.
