The data available with fixed network AMR can help improve utility operations in a number of ways. In addition to providing timely and accurate billing information, the system quickly flags broken or vandalized meters. Potential leaks are identified, both at the individual accounts and at the water main levels. Utility customer service can be greatly improved when daily meter data are available to help answer questions and resolve disputes.
Compatibility
GALAXY is compatible with the RTR® register, on any Badger® metering product. The remote-mount transmitter is suitable for indoor or outdoor non-submersible installations. Signal repeaters may be solar or AC line-powered. Data collectors feature a non-volatile flash memory, so no data is lost in the event of power interruption. Each collector is designed to manage data for up to 5,000 meters.
