Its Water Department has approximately 6,700 service connections and supplies drinking water to a population of approximately 18,000 within a 3.4 square-mile service area. The source of drinking water is groundwater drawn from 21 wells located throughout the borough. Water usage in the summer averages about 5 million gallons per day
