With increased emphasis on conserving natural resources, alternative energy sources should be given considerable evaluation. One such alternative energy source is biogas. The utilization of biogas for the production of electrical energy is a viable option and has been implemented on a number of projects using microturbines. Biogas is produced or can be produced by anaerobic digestion and is used in some wastewater treatment plant processes.
