APTwater, Inc. successfully completed an in-situ advanced oxidation process (AOP) project to remediate petroleum contamination from a former gas station site in Kenton, Delaware. The fuel released at the site resulted in an 800 foot long contaminant plume with BTEX, TBA, and MTBE concentrations on the order of 27,000 µg/L each. The PulseOx® in-situ AOP was selected over conventional technologies because of its cost effectiveness and rapid cleanup capabilities. Site closure to regulatory limits was achieved in only five months four months ahead of schedule resulting in a significant cost savings for the client.
