Unique design provides NSF Approved flow solution for water and wastewater industries

KROHNE, Inc., a global technology company in the development, manufacture and distribution of accurate, reliable and cost effective measurement products for the process industries, showcases the ENVIROMAG 2000 magnetic flowmeter for municipal water and wastewater treatment applications at WEFTEC, October 13-17, 2007, at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA in Booth #2843. The ENVIROMAG 2000 offers quick, simple and low-cost installation and commissioning. With no mechanically moving parts, the ENVIROMAG 2000 is maintenance-free.

The ENVIROMAG 2000 innovative design incorporates a high-quality Polyurethane liner with field- replaceable HC4 Hastelloy electrodes. Highly reliable, the ENVIROMAG 2000 boasts a 2000:1 turndown with specified measuring accuracy. The ENVIROMAG 2000 offers a rapid response time with no obstructions, and is suitable for applications with process temperatures up to 176° F and pressures up to 580 psig.

Part of KROHNE's family of electromagnetic flowmeter sensors, the ENVIROMAG 2000 flow sensor utilizes the IFC 300 flow converter and features unique 3 x 100% diagnostics providing maintenance and process engineers with continuous information on the state of the flowmeter, measurement, as well as notification of unnoticed application faults. These monitoring capabilities can lead to tremendous cost savings opportunities by quickly identifying performance and measurement issues. The 3 x 100% diagnostic capabilities include:

• 100% Application Diagnostics-Monitors the flow profile, high solids or entrained air in the flow stream, low fluid conductivity, and pipe conditions to identify any process- related problems adversely affecting flow measurement.
• 100% Accuracy Diagnostics -Monitors the flowmeter's performance and self checks the linearity and outputs for compliance with specifications, thereby eliminating the need for costly recalibration procedures.
  
• 100% Instrument Diagnostics- Self-checks the flow sensor for damage caused by incompatible liquids and or high temperature. Internal wiring is checked to detect short or open circuits, coil performance, electrode coating or corrosion, and/or electronic components drift.
