An advanced economic solution for measuring electrically conductive liquids

Peabody, MA — KROHNE, Inc., a global technology leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of accurate, reliable and cost effective measurement instrumentation for the process industries, introduces its new ENVIROMAG 2100 magnetic flowmeter. It is an advanced economic solution targeted at common applications in the water, wastewater, food and chemical industries. This new flow instrument has a measuring accuracy of up to 0.3%.

The ENVIROMAG 2100 features the IFC 100 converter which offers an attractive price/performance ratio, including diagnostic capabilities not found in other basic converters. The diagnostic features have been field proven in the IFC 300, the previously introduced high-performance converter in KROHNE's OPTIFLUX family.

The IFC 100 offers precise diagnostics of instrument, installation and application. For maximum installation flexibility, the IFC 100 is available with the converter mounted directly on the flow tube as a compact meter in two versions: for horizontal installations a 45º angled display is designed for optimal viewing, while vertical pipe installations may be equipped with a flat mounted version. Alternatively, a wall or pipe mounted converter can be mounted separately from the flow tube. The IFC 100 features a rugged metal enclosure, a large backlit display for excellent readability and a push-button soft-keypad for ease of operation, start-up and configuration. As with all KROHNE products, the IFC 100 is HART compatible and ships with PACTware at no extra cost.

The ENVIROMAG sensor's innovative design incorporates a high-quality Polyurethane or Hard Rubber liner with field- replaceable SS or HC4 Hastelloy electrodes. Highly reliable, the ENVIROMAG 2100 boasts a 2000:1 turndown and offers a rapid response time with no obstructions. It is suitable for applications with process temperatures up to 176° F and pressures up to 580 psig.
