Chicago, IL - ITT Corporation announced that WTW GmbH, a global supplier of electrochemical measurement equipment and part of the newly formed ITT Analytics, has launched its innovative mega capacity WQL-pH Data logger for continuous, long-term pH measurement and data logging for monitoring water quality in all applications.

Monitoring water resources and meeting strict regulatory requirements for water quality has become a global issue. Therefore, innovative measurement technology is essential to provide failsafe and accurate results.

The multifunctional pH data logger WQL-pH, with a diameter of only .98 inches (25 mm), meets all requirements for long-term continuous pH measurement and data logging for ground and surface water as well as drinking and wastewater.

Huge data streams are possible with the mega data storage capacity using flash memory for up to 600,000 data records. Each data record contains pH and temperature readings identified with date and ID-number.

According to Robert Hengel, WTW Director of Marketing, "The safety and security of our water supply is now, more than ever, a global issue. The WTW pH data logger WQL-pH provides the security and convenience of long term measuring with exceptionally large recording capacity of pH and temperature, a critical indicator of water quality."

Features include fast, failsafe data transfer via USB connection to PC, plus simple operation using the quick start button for measurement control. The status LED provides quick reference information on memory and measuring operation, and optimized data graphs with zoom function enables quick data analysis.

High quality lithium battery and intelligent energy management guarantees safe operation over extended running times, as well as longer battery lifetime. Easy access to the battery compartments allow for quick and simple battery change while in-the-field.

The new, extremely stable, and interchangeable SensoLyt WQL pH electrode with revolutionary polymer reference electrolyte provides precise measurements over a long period of time and reduces calibration frequency to 2 – 3 months. Robust IP 68 rating with up to 10 bar pressure and water resistant down to 328 feet (100 m) depth. Even under harsh conditions, electrode protection is guaranteed with the stainless steel basket guards.

Simple, user-friendly software interface allows quick and easy access to all important functions and settings.
