A Best Of AWWA ACE Show Award For Mueller Co.

Visitors to annual AWWA exhibition held recently in San Diego without a doubt knew when they had arrived at the Mueller Co. booth, and what the company was promoting. That according to water industry and promotional graphics professionals who toured the show floor to select the winners of the Best of Show awards. They honored the Mueller booth with a Silver Best of Show Award in the large display category. Among the criteria were how well a display identified the exhibitor and conveyed a clear message, and how attractively it presented its products and services.

The imposing lighted tower in the center of the Mueller booth topped with the company's well known red and black logotype, and faced on both sides with 15' tall red Centurion® fire hydrant graphics left no doubt in visitors' minds whose booth they were viewing. Large banners on the four sides of the display reinforced the Mueller name and the booth's theme: Going Green So You Can Too. For added punch to the theme, the company's Green Initiative logo in the form of a large green "M" with a leaf was projected onto the floor where it rotated to draw attention.

From almost any vantage point, the visitor could look through the entire booth and see all of the company's broad array of water distribution products, the largest in the industry. The sound of falling water came from a pond and waterfall that promoted Mueller® "low lead" brass products, while a magician who has been a popular feature of the Mueller booth for many years wowed visitors as he interwove the company's quality message into his presentations. Then to make sure the important selling points were made, bullet-point signs on each product reinforced benefits and features.

Mueller also won this award, sponsored by the Manufacturers/Associates Council, with its previous display at the 2006 AWWA ACE.
