Sherbourne Common: Shining A Light On Stormwater

Sherbourne Common is an innovative waterfront park located in Toronto, Canada. It features three dramatic art sculptures and a 240 metre long urban water channel that uses collected stormwater from the surrounding neighborhood. The stormwater is treated with UV light prior to reuse in the park. UV treatment is a non-chemical technology that has the benefit of not forming any byproducts and can eliminate chlorine-resistant microorganisms like Cryptosporidium and Giardia.
