Mark Andrews, owner of Andrews Infrastructure, saw an EME GANTRY Crane in use at a sewage treatment plant.
The unit's light weight, ease of construction and portability made it the perfect solution to a serious lifting problem he had with his remote cameras and the umbilical cords that tied the cameras to his above ground monitoring equipment.
PROBLEM:
Trunk sewers can be 100 feet or more under ground. Lowering and lifting cameras, attendant electrical cords and tools is time consuming and tiring work for operators. Added danger comes from having to stand close to the opening while lowering the equipment down the shaft or lifting it back to the surface.
